## Description

Dongola Airport (DOG) is a regional field on the Nile in Sudan's Northern State, one of the calmer areas through the civil war. Domestic services run via operators such as Sudan Airways and Tarco Aviation, but the airport has no dedicated cargo role. Freight for the region travels by road or, where available, through Khartoum (KRT) and Port Sudan on the Red Sea. Shippers to Sudan therefore consign via those nodes rather than directly to DOG. Dongola is a gateway to Nubian pyramids and the Nile cataracts.
