## Description

A 6,201-foot main runway, the third longest in New Hampshire, has never turned Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN/KEEN) into a freight point. The city-owned field lies about two miles south of Keene in the Monadnock region of southwestern New Hampshire and adds a second paved strip of roughly 4,000 feet. Its role is general aviation, business flying and flight training: there is no scheduled passenger or cargo service, no cargo terminal and no customs facility on site. The runway length does support business jets and ad-hoc charter, which occasionally matters for urgent spare parts or samples. Regular air freight for the area is trucked roughly 100 kilometres east to Manchester-Boston Regional (MHT) or south to Boston Logan (BOS), where customs clearance and intercontinental connections are available. Route 9 and Interstate 91 on the Vermont side carry that road feeder traffic.
