## Description

Deputatsky Airport (DPT) serves the mining settlement of the same name in the Ust-Yansky district of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), roughly 700 km north-east of Yakutsk and above the Arctic Circle. Regional turboprops from Yakutsk fly in; there is no cargo terminal, no cold storage and no customs post, and air shipments are largely mail, food and small urgent consignments. Most goods arrive through the seasonal northern supply by river and sea vessel and over winter roads, while commercial air freight is arranged via Yakutsk (YKS).
