## Description

Two asphalt runways of roughly 6,600 and 5,700 feet sit on 2,870 acres at 4,314 feet elevation in the New Mexico desert, but Deming Municipal Airport (DMN/KDMN) is a quiet general-aviation field rather than a cargo point. Opened in 1942 to train USAAF bombardiers, it now handles private, charter, agricultural and government flights about two miles southeast of Deming in Luna County, with a 1995 terminal for passengers and crews, some 360 VFR days a year and the main 8/26 runway laid parallel to Interstate 10.
