## Description

Delingha Airport (HXD) in the Haixi prefecture of China's Qinghai province is a high-plateau field at about 2,860 metres, with a 3,000-metre runway, a terminal of roughly 4,400 square metres and four stands, able to accept types such as the A319, B737-700 and ARJ21. Cargo and mail travel as belly load on domestic flights and amounted to some 1,200 tonnes in 2019; there is no dedicated freight terminal and no freighter operation. Larger consignments in the Qaidam Basin are worked through Xining Caojiabao (XNN) and Golmud (GOQ), with long trucking legs and the Qinghai-Tibet railway as the alternative.
