## Description

Georgia's second-busiest airfield handles no airline passengers at all: DeKalb-Peachtree (PDK/KPDK) counts roughly 306 based aircraft and around 158,000 annual movements, none of them scheduled service. Owned by DeKalb County and sitting about 15 miles north-north-east of Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL), it lives on business aviation, some ten flight schools and maintenance work, with Signature Flight Support and Epps Aviation — on the field since 1965 — running the main FBOs. There is no cargo terminal, no based freight carrier and no air cargo acceptance, and with no scheduled flights there is no belly cargo either. Air freight for metro Atlanta is therefore consolidated at ATL, which combines cargo terminals, customs clearance and trucking along I-85 and I-285. Within a longer road feeder radius, Charlotte (CLT) and the FedEx hub at Memphis (MEM) serve as practical alternatives. Landing fees have been billed through Vector Airport Systems' PLANEPASS service since 1 April 2026. The field occupies the site of a World War II naval air station.
