## Description

Dehong Mangshi International Airport (IATA: LUM, ICAO: ZPMS) handled some 16,000 tonnes of cargo and mail in 2025 according to CAAC statistics – a substantial figure for a 4C regional field, driven by dense belly loading, postal traffic and border-adjacent goods flows rather than by freighter operations. The airport is the home base of Ruili Airlines, one of China's few privately owned carriers, and links western Yunnan's Dehong prefecture with Kunming and other Chinese cities, with occasional cross-border service to Myanmar. The region's actual China–Myanmar trade runs overland through the Ruili–Muse border crossing, where farm produce, building materials and consumer goods move by truck rather than by air.
