A ten-million-dollar terminal contract and a runway growing from 1,219 to 1,981 metres are reshaping Deadman's Cay Airport (IATA: LGI, ICAO: MYLD), the main airfield on Long Island in The Bahamas. The runway is being lengthened, raised for drainage and cleared of approach obstacles so that aircraft up to Boeing 737 size can operate reliably year-round, with airside works targeted for completion in June 2026.
