## Description

Three letters, one desert gateway: DLZ is the airport of Dalanzadgad, capital of Mongolia's South Gobi (Ömnögovi) province and the main arrival point for travellers heading to Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park and the Flaming Cliffs of Bayanzag. Hunnu Air, Aero Mongolia and MIAT link it to Ulaanbaatar, but there are no scheduled international services. The airport has no cargo terminal, so air freight for the region is consolidated at Chinggis Khaan International (UBN) in Ulaanbaatar, the country's only genuine cargo hub, with around 11,900 tonnes of annual capacity and Mongolian Airways Cargo flying 737 freighters.
