## Description

Without air links, much of the upper Juruá valley would be cut off – which is exactly why Cruzeiro do Sul Airport (CZS) matters. As Brazil's westernmost airport, in the Amazonian state of Acre, it supplies a region with few roads, bringing in medicine, food and consumer goods as belly cargo on scheduled flights. Azul Cargo Express runs a base here, feeding shipments into the national network. The runway accommodates medium aircraft such as the Boeing 737, supporting domestic and occasional international services. There are no dedicated freighters or integrator hubs; air cargo stays belly-based and supply-driven. VINCI Airports, the concession holder, completed infrastructure upgrades here as part of a 2024 programme covering seven northern airports.
