## Description

Sansa is the only scheduled operator at Coto 47 (OTR/MRCC), flying light turboprops from Ciudad Neily to San José and Golfito; everything else is charter and general aviation. The field takes its name from the banana plantations Standard Fruit once laid out across southern Costa Rica, and oil palm now dominates the Corredores district near the Panamanian border. There is no freighter service, no cargo terminal and no dedicated air-freight customs post. Regional farm output moves by truck along the Pan-American Highway and the Paso Canoas border crossing, or through the seaports of Golfito and Caldera. Air freight is handled at San José (SJO), some 300 road kilometres away, with Enrique Malek in David (DAV) on the Panamanian side as a closer but cross-border alternative. Forwarders should treat OTR as a small passenger field without a cargo role.
