## Description

Catamarca province borders South America's lithium triangle, yet its Coronel Felipe Varela International Airport (IATA: CTC, ICAO: SANC) handled no commercial air cargo at all while carrying roughly 75,000 passengers in 2024. Built in 1972 and inaugurated in January 1973, the airport has been run by Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 since 1999 and serves San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca.
