## Description

Organ transfers for the Reina Sofía hospital, crop-spraying operators, skydiving schools and flight training fill the movement log at Córdoba Airport (ODB/LEBA) in Andalusia; commercial air cargo does not appear on it at all. Aena rebuilt the field in 2025, spending some EUR 2.2 million on an annex that doubled terminal floor space, giving the departure lounge and baggage reclaim about 350 square metres each, and the airport has been rated category 7 since 1 July 2025. Scheduled service returned that summer for the first time in sixteen years, with Iberia's regional franchise Air Nostrum linking Córdoba seasonally to Palma de Mallorca and Gran Canaria; further routes have been floated for later seasons but are not confirmed. There is no cargo terminal, no freight handling and no permanent customs office for air cargo. Shipments from the province therefore move through Seville (SVQ, about 140 km) or Málaga (AGP, about 165 km), and through Madrid-Barajas (MAD) when intercontinental freighter capacity is needed. The A-4 and A-45 motorways make that road feeder leg straightforward, and Córdoba also sits on the Madrid-Seville high-speed line, which can matter for time-critical courier solutions.
