## Description

Congrieve Airfield is a private farm airstrip in Kenya's Rift Valley at about 1,770 metres above sea level, of the kind used around Nakuru and Gilgil for estate, safari and medical flying. There are no scheduled services, no cargo handling, no customs post and no IATA or ICAO code for commercial traffic, so it is not usable as an air-freight loading point. The region's flower, vegetable and perishables exports travel by refrigerated truck to Nairobi/Jomo Kenyatta (NBO), Africa's leading perishables gateway, with Eldoret (EDL) as a further freighter station.
