## Description

Concordia Skyway is best understood not as a freight strip but as the air link keeping one of Earth's remotest research bases supplied. Set on the Dome C plateau at about 3,233 metres, the station is jointly run by France's IPEV and Italy's PNRA/ENEA, and light aircraft such as the Basler BT-67 and Twin Otter carry personnel and urgent loads in from coastal bases.
