The airfield of Concepción del Uruguay lies on the Uruguay river in the Argentine province of Entre Ríos, opposite the Uruguayan border and in a catchment of poultry farming, citrus growing and forestry. The strip is used by light aircraft, aero-club flying and agricultural aviation; there is no scheduled service, no cargo handling, no customs post and no IATA code, so it is of no relevance for air freight. Regional air cargo moves through Buenos Aires Ezeiza (EZE), Argentina's principal freight airport about three hours' drive south, and through Rosario (ROS), while containerised exports also use the river ports on the Paraná-Paraguay waterway.
