## Description

Sixteen international and regional cargo routes, six of them opened in 2026 alone: Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (IATA: CKG, ICAO: ZUCK) is widening its freight reach fast. On 15 January 2026 China Cargo Airlines began a thrice-weekly Boeing 777 freighter service to Budapest aimed at e-commerce; Suparna Airlines added a Chongqing–Tel Aviv freighter on 28 January 2026 (twice weekly, up to 103 tonnes per B777F flight); and China Eastern Airlines Cargo launched a trans-Pacific freighter from Toronto on 22 May 2026. A fourth runway entered service at the end of 2024 and the T3B satellite terminal opened in April 2025, with cargo and mail throughput running around 1.1 to 1.2 million tonnes a year. JD.com, Alibaba and Cainiao all treat the airport as a western freight node, and it is home base for Chongqing Airlines and Sichuan Airlines. Customs operates within the Chongqing free-trade zone, with bonded warehousing geared to cross-border e-commerce. As a western terminus of several China-Europe block-train corridors, the city ties air freight to rail and to Yangtze river shipping. That three-mode connection is Chongqing's signature.
