## Description

Chokwé Airport (TGS) is a small airfield in the Limpopo irrigation belt of Mozambique's Gaza province, used for occasional charter, government and relief flights. There is no scheduled service, no cargo terminal, no handling agent and no customs post, so the district's farm output, rice above all, leaves by road. Air freight for southern Mozambique is handled at Maputo International (MPM) some 200 road kilometres southwest, which is also where customs clearance takes place, with the port of Maputo covering ocean freight.
