## Description

No forwarder will route commercial cargo through Chkalovsky (IATA CKL, ICAO UUMU): this is a Russian Air Force base about 31 km northeast of Moscow near Shchyolkovo, not a civil airport. It supports the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center at Star City and the space agency Roscosmos, and serves as a military transport base flying types such as the Il-76, An-12 and An-72.
