More than six million passengers passed through in 2025 — extraordinary for a country of 2.5 million — as Chișinău's Eugen Doga International Airport (IATA: RMO, formerly KIV; ICAO: LUKK) absorbed traffic displaced by the war in neighbouring Ukraine. It is Moldova's only active international airport, 13 km southeast of the capital, served by FlyOne, HiSky, Wizz Air and Ryanair to destinations across Europe.
