Rail has arrived before freighters at Chetumal International Airport (CTM/MMCM): the airport now has its own Tren Maya station, while air cargo here still moves only as belly capacity on domestic passenger flights. Serving the capital of Quintana Roo and the south of the state, the airport handled 423,144 passengers in 2025, down 2.4 percent from 433,527 in 2024 and ranking 42nd in Mexico.
