## Description

Chazuta on the Río Huallaga in Peru's San Martín region is a short landing strip for light aircraft, medical and supply flights in an area otherwise dependent on river transport. It has no scheduled service, no freight handling and no customs post, so it is of no use for commercial consignments. Regional air cargo is handled at Tarapoto (TPP) roughly 60 kilometres to the north-west, while international shipments and freighter traffic run through Lima-Jorge Chávez (LIM).
