Chaplynka lies in the south of Ukraine's Kherson oblast, in territory under Russian control since early 2022 and part of the active war zone; the strip has no IATA or ICAO code, no civil traffic, no cargo terminal and no customs post. It is neither accessible nor usable for shippers, and Ukrainian airspace has been closed to civil traffic since February 2022. Consignments to Ukraine therefore route through Rzeszów-Jasionka (RZE) in Poland, the main air gateway for aid and commercial goods, plus Chișinău (KIV) and the road and rail corridors from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania; current conditions should be verified before any booking.
