## Description

Chanmyathazi (IATA: VBC, ICAO: VYCZ) was Mandalay's city airport until 2000, when scheduled traffic moved to the newly built Mandalay International Airport (MDL) some 35 kilometres to the south. The inner-city field has been largely out of scheduled use since then: no confirmed scheduled passenger or freight service, no cargo terminal and no customs clearance, only occasional light-aircraft movements.
