## Description

Opened in 2008 for one purpose only, Changbaishan Airport (NBS) flies tourists to the volcano, crater lake and ski resorts of the Changbai range in Jilin, near the North Korean border. Seasonal services link the mountain with Beijing, Shanghai and Changchun. There is no cargo infrastructure on site. The region's signature exports, Changbai ginseng and mineral water, move by truck, with airfreight handled at Changchun Longjia (CGQ).
