More than 75,000 passengers boarded at Central Nebraska Regional Airport (GRI/KGRI) in 2025, the busiest year in the Grand Island field's history – while its air freight still moves as small nightly turboprop loads. FedEx Feeder, flown by Baron Aviation with Cessna 208 aircraft, and UPS run evening departures to Omaha, the standard pattern for express traffic out of central Nebraska. American serves Dallas/Fort Worth several times daily and Allegiant adds Las Vegas and Phoenix/Mesa; the airport is run by the Hall County Airport Authority. There is no dedicated freight terminal for palletised or oversized consignments.
