## Description

Cazombo (CAV/FNCZ) is a basic airfield at roughly 1,130 metres in the east of Angola's Moxico province, close to the borders with Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It handles charter, relief and government flights into a thinly populated area that is hard to reach by road; there is no scheduled service, no cargo terminal, no warehousing and no customs post, and claims of round-the-clock freight operations do not hold. Air cargo for eastern Angola goes through Luena (LUO), the provincial capital about 350 kilometres to the west, while the country's international freight traffic is handled at Luanda Quatro de Fevereiro (LAD).
