## Description

A purpose-built freight terminal is what changes the picture at Cat Bi International (IATA: HPH, ICAO: VVCI) in Haiphong: state operator Airports Corporation of Vietnam is spending some VND 724 billion, around USD 28.5 million, on a facility sized for 100,000 tonnes a year and expandable to 250,000. Northern Vietnam's established cargo gateway remains Noi Bai (HAN), about 120 km to the west, with Van Don (VDO) as an alternative.
