## Description

One airline carries essentially all commercial traffic at Carcassonne Airport (CCF/LFMK), and none of it is freight: Ryanair serves around ten destinations in six countries from the field at Salvaza in the Aude département of Occitanie. Within sight of the medieval UNESCO citadel, the airport lives on British and Irish leisure demand. The year-round Brussels Charleroi link disappeared from the winter 2025 schedule after Ryanair announced in July 2025 that it would cut its French capacity by 13 per cent, removing 750,000 seats – a concentration risk that hits a single-carrier airport immediately.
