## Description

Served on the ground by Swissport, Piura's PIU sits about 2 km from the city in one of Peru's prime fruit-export zones — the northern valleys behind it supply over 95% of the country's fresh mango. Despite that, the airport has no dedicated cargo terminal or bonded warehouse, only a store for domestic shipments. Mangoes, grapes and blueberries therefore leave mainly through the nearby seaport of Paita and, by air, via Lima's Jorge Chávez International (LIM). The airport is named after Captain Guillermo Concha Iberico.
