## Description

High above the Myanmar border valleys in southwestern Yunnan, Cangyuan Washan Airport (CWJ) has connected the remote Wa Autonomous County with Kunming since 2016. The mountain airfield is passenger-only; cargo handling does not exist. The county's tea, sugarcane and cross-border trade move by truck, with airfreight consolidated at Kunming Changshui (KMG), Yunnan's main international cargo airport. Cangyuan itself is best known for cliff paintings dating back some 3,000 years.
