Campo Comandantes (IATA: ITJ, ICAO: SIJY) is a private airfield in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, opened in 2011, with a runway of about 1,000 by 18 metres and a residential airpark whose owners keep their own hangars for business and light aircraft. There are no scheduled flights, no freight handling, no cold store and no customs post; online claims about temperature-controlled cargo handling here are inaccurate. Since Aruna Urbanismo acquired the site in 2023, several hundred million reais have gone into developing it as a business-aviation base, with 65 additional hangars planned from 2027 — cargo facilities are not part of the plan.
