## Description

Despite holding Timor-Leste's longest runway — about 3,000 m — Cakung Airport (BCH) near Baucau is largely dormant. The field is unattended and not in service for civilian scheduled flights; since the UN mission ended in 2012 it has seen only occasional military and MEDEVAC use. Its pavement is no longer adequately maintained and can no longer support jet aircraft. There is no cargo operation here. All of Timor-Leste's air freight and international links run through Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport (DIL) in Dili, where customs clearance also takes place.
