## Description

Timor-Leste's longest runway sits in Baucau rather than in the capital: Cakung Airport (BCH/WPEC) offers substantially more pavement than Dili's Presidente Nicolau Lobato International and could technically accept large commercial aircraft. That capability is currently unused — although classified as an international airport, the field is not open to civil scheduled traffic and serves military movements and medical evacuation flights, with no permanently staffed handling operation.
