## Description

Operated by the Régie aéroportuaire régionale des Cantons-de-l'Est, Bromont (Roland Désourdy) Airport (ZBM/CZBM) in Quebec's Eastern Townships is a general-aviation field whose single 1,525 m runway was rebuilt in a roughly CAD 10 million project inaugurated in late September 2025. There are no scheduled passenger flights and no freighter services, so the airport produces neither belly cargo nor dedicated air freight handling. The runway takes business jets and aircraft up to Dash 8-400 and A220 size, serving corporate, training and private flying. Air cargo from the region — including semiconductors and electronics from the microelectronics cluster around the IBM Bromont plant — is trucked out along Autoroute 10. Forwarders work through Montréal-Trudeau (YUL), some 80 km to the northwest, and Montréal-Mirabel (YMX), the freighter base for the Montréal area.
