## Description

ESH and EGKA are the codes of Brighton City Airport at Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex, recognised as the oldest airport in the United Kingdom and the oldest purpose-built commercial airport still operating anywhere in the world, in use since 1910. Its 1936 Art Deco terminal is a listed building, and the field has been run by operator Cyrrus under a long lease since 2019. Activity is limited to general aviation, flight training and business aviation, with no scheduled passenger or cargo services. Air freight for the Brighton area is handled at London Gatwick (LGW), about 50 km north-east, or at London Heathrow (LHR).
