## Description

A single short runway built for STOL turboprops sets the terms for everything that moves through Brønnøysund Airport (BNN/ENBN) on Norway's Helgeland coast. The Avinor-operated field is served by Widerøe alone as of 2026, using Dash 8 aircraft on the regional network. Freight therefore travels only as belly cargo in small quantities: spare parts, mail, documents and temperature-controlled medical consignments for Brønnøysund, home of Norway's central business register. There is no cargo terminal, no significant dangerous-goods handling and no freighter service. Norway sits outside the EU customs union, so imports must be declared to Norwegian customs, although the EEA agreement simplifies trade in most goods. Planned air freight is better routed via Trondheim Værnes (TRD) or Bodø (BOO), each requiring road feeder service on the E6 or county road Fv17, while the port of Brønnøysund offers a coastal sea freight alternative.
