## Description

RNN is Bornholm Airport at Rønne, the only airport on Denmark's Baltic island, about 170 km east of Copenhagen. Scheduled service is effectively a single-carrier affair: Danish Air Transport (DAT) flies ATR 42 and ATR 72 equipment, and more than 97 per cent of departures go to Copenhagen (CPH), with no scheduled international routes. Traffic ran at 199,148 passengers in 2023 and 172,900 in 2024 after operational disruption at the main carrier, with 100,061 recorded in the first eight months of 2025. Freight moves only as belly load on those passenger aircraft: mail, fresh produce, medicines and urgent goods for the island's roughly 40,000 residents. There is no cargo terminal, no freighter service and no separate customs post — Bornholm sits inside the EU customs territory in any case. Larger volumes travel by ferry from Rønne to Ystad and Køge, or through the cargo gateway at Copenhagen.
