## Description

Air Algérie is the mainstay at Mohamed Khider Airport (BSK/DAUB), the airfield of the Saharan oasis city of Biskra, with roughly five weekly services to Algiers plus seasonal routes to Lyon and both Paris airports, where Transavia also appears. The field lies about 200 kilometres south-west of Constantine on the northern edge of the desert. Biskra is famous for its Deglet Nour dates, but that produce travels north by road to the Mediterranean ports rather than by air. There is no dedicated freight terminal and no air cargo customs post here, so air freight is limited to belly capacity on the passenger flights. Shippers in the Zibane region consolidate instead at Algiers Houari Boumediene (ALG), Algeria's principal air cargo gateway, or at Constantine Mohamed Boudiaf (CZL) to the north-east. National roads towards Batna and Constantine make that road feeder leg workable.
