## Description

Trucking, not airfreight, carries Bijie's tobacco and farm produce out of the mountains – over some of the world's highest bridges, which have cut the road journey to Guiyang dramatically. Bijie Feixiong Airport (BFJ), opened in 2013 at about 1,500 metres elevation in western Guizhou, handles passenger flights to Beijing, Guangzhou and Chongqing. Cargo facilities do not exist on site. Forwarders consolidate the prefecture's airfreight at Guiyang Longdongbao (KWE), the province's main international airport.
