## Description

One airline, one route, roughly seven departures a week: as of July 2026 Star Air's UDAN service to Bengaluru was the entire commercial schedule at Bidar (IXX/VOBR), a civil enclave run by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd on an Indian Air Force station in north-eastern Karnataka. The base is an advanced jet training establishment, and military use sets the terms for the small civil apron beside it. The Bengaluru link was restored on 15 April 2025, but there is no freight terminal, no all-cargo service and negligible usable belly capacity on the regional jets, so commercial air cargo is effectively unavailable here. Consignments from the Bidar district, home of the black-and-silver Bidriware metal craft, travel by truck about 140 km, some three hours, to Hyderabad (HYD), where GMR operates a full cargo terminal with pharma-grade handling.
