## Description

Bertoua (BTA/FKKO) is the airfield of the capital of Cameroon's East Region, a small facility with irregular traffic and no air-cargo handling of its own. There is no freight terminal, no handling agent and no customs post for air cargo; the region's timber, cocoa and mining output leaves by road. Air freight for eastern Cameroon is processed at Douala (DLA), the country's principal cargo airport and seaport, and at Yaoundé Nsimalen (NSI), both several hours to the west along the national highways.
