## Description

Air Peace, Arik Air, Green Africa, United Nigeria and Aero Contractors all serve Benin (IATA: BNI, ICAO: DNBE), the FAAN-run airport of Edo State's capital, Benin City, with scheduled links to Lagos and Abuja. Roughly 433,000 passengers passed through in 2024, placing it among Nigeria's ten busiest domestic fields. Cargo is modest and worth stating plainly: mostly belly freight on passenger flights, with only occasional dedicated freighter movements to Lagos. An agro-allied perishables terminal for Edo's produce has been planned for years but is not operational, while recent FAAN works concentrate on night-flight capability and freight handling.
