## Description

1.8 million passengers and 10,000 tonnes of cargo a year is the opening design capacity of Bengbu Tenghu Airport (IATA: BFY, ICAO: ZSBA), which began operations on 29 April 2026 in Huaiyuan county, Anhui province; the long-term target rises to 6 million passengers and 50,000 tonnes. It replaces the older Bengbu Airport (BFU/ZSBB). The site has a 26,000 m² terminal, a single class 4C runway of 2,600 × 45 m and eleven aircraft stands, with an extension to 3,200 m planned.
