No IATA code, no published schedules: Beijing Xijiao (ICAO ZBBB) is a People's Liberation Army airfield in the capital's western Haidian district, reserved for military, government and occasional charter flights. Built in 1938 during the Japanese occupation and under military administration since 1949, it offers no civil handling and no air-cargo customs clearance. Airfreight for the Beijing region is concentrated at Capital (PEK, some 32 km to the northeast of Xijiao) and Daxing (PKX) in the south of the city, both with full import and export clearance and bonded warehousing.
