Bauru Airport (ICAO: SBBU) is the old in-town airfield of Bauru in western São Paulo state, today used mainly by general aviation and flight schools. Scheduled airline traffic for the region moved to Bauru-Arealva (JTC/SBAE) outside the city, and the city field has no cargo terminal or customs clearance for foreign-trade goods. Regional air freight is handled at Viracopos in Campinas (VCP), roughly 230 km away and Brazil's leading cargo airport, or alternatively at Guarulhos (GRU).
