## Description

Zero scheduled airline seats: since 14 July 2023 Bathurst Airport (BHS/YBTH) in the New South Wales Central Tablelands has had no commercial passenger service at all. FlyPelican took the Sydney route over from Regional Express in September 2022 and withdrew after less than a year for lack of bookings; Bathurst Regional Council, which owns the field, has not yet secured a replacement operator. The airport now serves flight training, business aviation and aeromedical movements. There is no freight terminal, no customs facility and — with no airline flying — not even belly capacity. Air cargo for the district is handled at Sydney (SYD) some 200 km east and trucked in over the Great Western Highway, a road feeder leg of roughly three hours; Canberra (CBR), about 250 km south, is the second option. The town itself is better known for Mount Panorama and the Bathurst 1000 motor race than for its airfield.
