## Description

Barrange is a private farm strip in South Africa's Northern Cape province, in the thinly populated Kalahari fringe near the Botswana border. It is used for owner and charter flights linked to farming; there are no scheduled services, no customs and no freight handling at all. Air cargo for the region moves through Upington (UTN), about 290 kilometres to the south-west, or OR Tambo International in Johannesburg (JNB), some 550 kilometres east and the country's principal air freight gateway.
