## Description

On the Mato Grosso–Goiás border beside the Araguaia River, Barra do Garças Airport (BPG, ICAO SBBW) serves a soy-frontier and regional tourism area in central Brazil. Scheduled traffic is regional, with Azul Conecta linking the town to Cuiabá and Goiânia. Air cargo is limited to belly freight; there is no freighter terminal. Palletised or time-critical shipments move by road to the nearest genuine cargo airports at Cuiabá or Goiânia, both several hundred kilometres away.
