## Description

A 3,487-metre runway, an on-airport US Customs and Border Protection office and generous ramp space give Bangor International Airport (IATA: BGR, ICAO: KBGR) a role far larger than its passenger numbers suggest. As the first and last point of landfall on transatlantic routings, the Maine airport is a long-standing technical stop and customs clearance point for charter and freighter aircraft alike. In 2025 it recorded around 41,600 aircraft movements and about 860,000 passengers.
