## Description

Banfora Airport (BNR/DFOB) is a basic regional airfield in south-western Burkina Faso, set in the sugar and farming belt of the Cascades region, without regular scheduled or cargo service. Its freight relevance is limited; air cargo is handled at Bobo-Dioulasso (BOY) some 85 km north and at Ouagadougou (OUA). Volume and heavy goods travel overland: the Sitarail railway from Abidjan to Ouagadougou and the national highway both pass through Banfora on their way to the port of Abidjan.
